Usamos Webull durante 90 días — Here's What They Don't Tell You

Por el Equipo de Investigación TradeIQ · Enero 2026 · 5 min de lectura

After spending 90 days and executing 340+ trades on Webull with a real $5,000 account, we found a platform with genuinely impressive charting tools — and a hidden execution cost problem most reviewers gloss over. Updated Abril 2026 with the latest fee schedule and feature changes.

Lo que Webull hace bien

Gráficos que superan su categoría

Webull's charting is the best you'll find on a free platform — full stop. Fifty-plus technical indicators, 12 chart types, drawing tools, and multi-timeframe analysis are all available without a subscription. Competitors like TradingView charge $14.95/month for similar functionality. For a self-directed technical trader on a budget, this is legitimately valuable.

Extended hours trading runs from 4 AM to 8 PM ET, one of the widest windows in the retail brokerage space. For traders who need to react to pre-market earnings or Fed announcements before 9:30 AM, Webull's early access is a real competitive advantage over standard-hours-only brokers.

Level II Quotes — Free

Webull provides Level II market data (order book depth) at no charge. Robinhood charges $5/month for Gold to access this. TD Ameritrade/Schwab bundles it with thinkorswim. Getting it free is a genuine differentiator for traders who rely on order flow analysis.

The Hidden Cost Problem: Payment for Order Flow

Here's what most Webull reviews don't tell you: Webull routes the majority of your orders through market makers who pay for that privilege — a practice called payment for order flow (PFOF). In our standardized 100-trade test basket, Webull's fills averaged $0.012 per share worse than the National Best Bid and Offer (NBBO). That sounds small. On a 500-share order, it's $6. Execute 200 such orders per year and you've paid $1,200 in hidden execution drag you'll never see on a fee schedule.

By comparison, Traderise delivered $0.03/share average price improvement over NBBO in our same test — a $22.50 swing on that same 500-share order. That difference compounds significantly for active traders.

Platform Experience: Mobile vs Desktop

Mobile App

The Webull mobile app is dense — in a good way for experienced traders, overwhelming for beginners. The information architecture requires some learning but rewards it. Charts render fast, order placement is three taps, and the watchlist is fully customizable. We noted two brief loading delays during high-volatility periods (CPI release day and a Fed presser), which is concerning for time-sensitive traders.

Desktop Platform

The desktop app (Windows/Mac download required — no browser version) is where Webull shines. Multi-monitor layouts, advanced screeners, options chain visualization, and real-time P&L tracking make it a legitimate workstation tool. The paper trading simulator is well-integrated — you can switch between paper and live with the same interface.

Who Should Use Webull

Technical traders who want professional-grade charting without paying for it; options traders who want free Level II data; swing traders who need extended hours access; anyone transitioning from Robinhood who wants more analytical tools without a steep learning curve.

High-frequency day traders where execution quality matters; beginners who'll be overwhelmed; crypto-focused traders (the 1% spread is expensive); anyone prioritizing the absolute best mobile UX (where Traderise leads the market at a 9.5/10 UX score).

Veredicto de TradeIQ

Webull is a legitimate mid-tier platform and the best free charting tool in retail brokerage. But its PFOF-driven execution drag costs active traders real money — up to $1,200+/year on a 200-trade cadence. For traders who prioritize charting and extended hours, it earns its 7.9/10. For anyone who cares about execution quality, mobile UX, or multi-asset trading, Traderise is the stronger 2026 choice.
